Sugar cookies

Today I made some Christmas cookies. Sugar cookies because I don't like gingerbread :) Here is the recipe:


1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 tsp baking powder
3 cups flour


Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Mix in egg. Add dry ingredients.
Shape into cookies and bake until light brown.

Party bags and castles

Today we went to Spotlight and got some fabric which I am using to make some party bags to sell at my Auntie Christie's market up north.The other day I went to an art shop and I got some acrylic paint and some metallic paint. So I used them to paint a castle.

This will keep me busy painting for a long time! I carved and painted this picture already. Now what should I paint next?

Made a bag

I made this bag today with a fat quarter pack I got for my birthday. I am going to make another one in purple later :)

The day before yesterday mum and I went to Ballarat patchwork and Mum got me this pattern. We are going there again tommorow and I will get some fabric to make it with.

Choc chip cookies

250g Butter
2 tsp Vanilla essence
2 cups Brown sugar
2 Eggs
3 1/2 Cups SR flour
Choc chips

Beat butter, vanilla & sugar till smooth. Add eggs, beat. Add sifted flour mix and add choc chips. Form into cookies. Bake in mod oven for 10 min or till lightly brown.

We are going back to Saudi!

We are going back to Saudi Arabia! We have been there twice already, the first time for one year and the second time for 3. Dad got another job offer so we are going back again!

This is our cat Smiley, he did school with us and followed us to the pool.

Chocolate Chip Bread

Ingredients:

150 ml hot water
150 ml cold water
2 tsp dry active yeast
2 tbsp sugar
60g marg
450g Flour
2 tsp Bread improver
1 1/2 tsp salt
Chocolate chips
1 tbsp milk
sugar
Bread Machine

1. Mix the water and milk and place in the pan of the bread machine. Sprinkle yeast over the liquid, and add sugar and marg.
2. Mix the flour, bread improver, and salt. Add to the bread pan.
3. Put the bread pan in the bread machine and put it on the dough cycle.
4. When its done, put the dough on a floured surface and mix in chocolate chips.
5. Shape the dough and place it in a baking tin.
6. Mix the sugar and milk and paint on the loaf.
7. Let it rise for 20 min.
8. Bake for about 30 min till golden brown.

Lambs, Painting and ?????

Yesterday we went to see our friend George who runs a wildlife shelter and has a mini farm. He had some cute babies...

When we got home I started working on a textured painting. I used lots of lace... and pva glue.

More art

Last night after art class I felt like painting another picture. And for some strange reason I painted a sheep instead of a cat!

But I made up for that and painted one today.

Art class

Today at art class I finished this painting:) The picture is carved onto wood(which doesn't show on the photo) and then I painted over it.

Today I went to get a perm but they ran out of hot water so we went and visited some freinds. And I took more photos of these adorable kittens!

Soooo cute!!!! It has been raining A LOT!!!

Yesterday the power went off for a little over 2 hours. Since our stove and oven are electric Dad had to bring home pizza:)

Another rag doll

I made another rag doll! This one I am making a pattern for.
I just need to get everything into a pattern.

Finishing Stitches

My mum is hosting a challenge called Finishing Stitches to finish ufo's. I have a few, so I decided to join in this month. Now this rag doll finally has some hair after being bald for about a month:)

Homeschool market

I have been very busy baking and sewing for the homeschool market today! Unfortunately i forgot my camra so i dont have any photos.I made about $60 dollars profit so it was worth the work:)

Eureka Skydeck

Yesterday on our way back from Melbourne we decided to stop by the Eureka skydeck! We went up to the 88th floor but didnt have time to go on the Edge as there was a forty-five minute wait. A good thing maybe.....
